The Rotor Head
The rotor head connects the rotor blades to the mast and allows the rotor to rotate, teeter and tilt for directional control.
The main components include:
Hub Bar – Connects the two rotor blades and supports the tower block.
Tower Block – Bolted to the top of the hub bar and provides the attachment point for the teeter bolt.
Teeter Bolt – Passes through the teeter tower and tower block, allowing the rotor blades to flap up and down like a seesaw.
Teeter Tower – Supports the hub bar and rotor blade assembly through the teeter bolt.
Spindle Bolt – Connects the teeter tower assembly to the rotor head and allows the rotor to rotate about its spindle axis.
